Job summary

Newstaff is recruiting for a Production Operative to join our manufacturing site in England on a rotating 12-hour shift, 8am to 8pm, five days on, two off. You will perform packing, quality checks and line upkeep to keep production flowing.

Requirements include reading/writing English, physical fitness and prior production experience. Benefits include weekly pay, free onsite parking and a canteen with tea and coffee supplied.

Qualifications

• Be physically fit and able to stand for 12 hours.
• Able to read/write English and be numerically sound.
• Experience in production or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Erect cardboard cartons and attach labels.
• Carry out quality inspections on products.
• Stack pallets with made-up boxes.
• Move cartons and bulk bins to and from machines.
• Complete production sheet paperwork.
• Maintain good housekeeping on production lines and factory.
• Support the efficient running of the production line.
• Ensure blenders/silos are filled with required materials.

Wk 1 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday in. Wednesday and Thursday off

Wk 2 Wednesday, Thursday in. Monday, Tuesday, Friday Saturday, Sunday off

Duties:

• Erecting carboard cartons and attaching labels
• Carrying out quality inspections on products
• Stacking pallets with made up boxes
• Moving cartons and bulk bins to and from the machines
• Completing production sheet paperwork
• Maintenance of good housekeeping practices on production lines and within the factory
• Supporting the efficient running of the production line
• Ensure blenders/silos are kept filled with required materials

Requirements

• Be physically fit
• Able to read/write English and be numerically sound
• Come from a production or manufacturing background
• Able to stand on your feet for a 12-hour shift
• Been in a similar role before, Production or Manufacturing
