Job summary

OA Group is advertising a Production Operative role in Kettering. You will be responsible for cleaning production areas, carrying out quality checks and supporting the production team in daily tasks.

Rotating shifts include mornings, afternoons and nights with a 15-minute handover. The role requires reliability, good health and safety awareness, and the ability to work at pace.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas, machinery and equipment to high housekeeping standards.
• Carry out routine quality checks during manufacturing.
• Identify and report product defects or quality issues.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Support production teams with general operational duties.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with manual handling and movement of materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work towards daily production targets as part of a team.

Production Operative - Cleaning & Quality Control

Location: Kettering
Hours: Rotating shifts. 6 shifts on, 4 days off. (Mornings: 6:00am - 2:30pm | Afternoons: 2:00pm - 10:30pm | Nights: 10:00pm - 6:30am). Candidates must arrive 15 minutes before each shift for handover.
Pay: £14.61 per hour

Duties of a Production Operative:

• Cleaning production areas, machinery and equipment to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carrying out routine quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identifying and reporting product defects or quality issues.
• Completing production and quality documentation accurately.
• Supporting production teams with general operational duties.
• Following health & safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Assisting with manual handling and movement of materials.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Working towards daily production targets as part of a team.

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG is desirable.
• Experience in a quality-focused environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work rotating shifts.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
