Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sparkford, Somerset. The successful candidate will operate factory machinery, assemble products using hand and air tools, and perform quality checks to ensure standards are met.

Full training and ongoing support are provided, with a Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm schedule and an early finish on Fridays at 1:30pm. This is a full-time role in a supportive production environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, factory or machine operating environment is desirable.
• Experience using machinery, hand tools or air tools is advantageous.
• Strong work ethic with a reliable and conscientious approach.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow production instructions accurately.
• Effective time management and organisational skills.
• Strong problem solving ability and good communication within a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain factory machinery and production equipment.
• Assemble manufactured products using hand and air tools.
• Inspect and test products to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Package and label finished goods for internal and external distribution.
• Follow health and safety procedures and company regulations.
• Work as part of a production team to meet manufacturing targets and deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support the optimisation of manufacturing and production processes.
