Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking Production Machine Operatives to join a growing manufacturing business in Chard. This long-term temporary role offers full training, weekly pay, and the chance to develop practical machine-operating skills in a supportive environment.

Suitable candidates will have a positive attitude, be reliable, and able to work Mon-Thu with a focus on quality and safety. Prior production experience is advantageous but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient output.

• Work to production schedules and meet daily targets.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the production area.
• Follow health and safety procedures and company guidelines.

Key Duties

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient and consistent output.
• Use hand-held tools and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
• Carry out quality inspections to maintain high product standards.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and report faults when necessary.
• Work to production schedules and meet daily targets.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the production area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, factory, warehouse or machine-operating environments would be advantageous.
• Comfortable using hand-held tools and machinery.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
