Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is seeking a Production Operative for a hands-on role at our Worcester Factory site. You will be involved in the full production process through to packing, working within a team that values quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Training will be provided, with clear standards and opportunities to support the area leader. The role follows a 4 on 4 off pattern, including days and nights, and requires a proactive attitude, reliability, and good English communication to

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, hazard-free area and follow risk-based procedures.
• Support quality standards and aim for right first time.

• Complete tasks on the line and provide break relief as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying root causes and suggesting safeguards.
• Record and communicate shift information clearly during handovers.

Job description

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a Production Operative to join a team where quality, safety and continuous improvement genuinely matter.This is a hands-on role, involving you in the full production process through to packing. You'll have experience in a similar role, and in return the position offers hands-on training, clear standards to work to, and the opportunity to support the area leader.

Shift Pattern- 4 on 4 off days & nights

What You Will Do:

• Maintain a safe, hazard-free working area and follow risk-assessed procedures every shift.
• Support quality standards by following work instructions, escalating issues early, and helping achieve "right first time".
• Keep high hygiene levels by following clean-as-you-go practices and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Complete tasks requested by the Area Owner or Shift Leader, including preparation of areas on the line and break relief cover.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting out-of-spec root cause analysis and suggesting practical enhancements to improve safety, quality, performance and reduce waste.
• Record information accurately and communicate clearly during shift changeover to keep operations running smoothly.

What You Will Bring:

• Confidence in following instructions and working to required standards in a production environment.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to step up when covering sickness or holiday.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control measures, plus the ability to interpret relevant work instructions and specifications.
• Strong communication skills in English to read, listen and write clearly for records and shift updates.
• Practical dexterity for routine machine care, autonomous maintenance and safely operating automated machinery, including manual handling up to 25kg directly (and up to 100kg indirectly with aids).
