Job summary

Thrive Shepton, Wells, England, is recruiting a Production Operative for the Preparation and Cooking Team. You will hand-cut fresh ingredients, including fish and meat, follow recipe cards precisely, operate cooking equipment, and maintain thorough hygiene and logs to ensure food safety and quality.

This is a temporary to permanent role with shift patterns (4 on 4 off, 0600-1800 or 1800-0600). The pay starts at £13.52–£16.29 per hour and increases after permanent placement, with a quarterly

Salary: GBP13.52 - GBP16.29 per hour

Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our client in Wells, who are actively recruiting for ProductionOperativeon a temporary to permanent basis. In our clients Cooking/ PreparationDepartment.

As a ProductionOperative- Preparation and Cooking Team Member you will be:

• Hand cutting or slicing large volumes offresh ingredients including fish and meat.
• Following recipe cards
• Maintaining high hygiene levels
• Flagging any issues with the equipment
• Managing and operating the cooking equipment, ensuring that specific cooking times and methods are followed
• Maintaining food preparation records and logs
• Good level of English
• A positive approach to work / positive attitude
• A desire to develop skills and progress within the business
• Ability to work as part of a fast paced team
• Ability to lift up to 20kg+
• Preferably previous experience as machine operator or operator

Working Hours:

• 4 on 4 off - 0600-1800 or 1800-0600

Pay Rate:

• Basic pay rate of £13.52 per hour between 0600-2200
• Basic pay rate of £16.29 per hour between 2200-0600

Once permanent, the pay rate structure can increase to the below:

• 0600-1800 - Team Member - £13.52per hour (with shift allowance £14.72 per hour)
• 0600-1800 - Skilled Team Member - £14.10 per hour (with shift allowance £15.33 per hour)
• 0600-1800 - Multi-Skilled Team Member - £14.63 per hour (with shift allowance £15.89 per hour)
• 1800-0600 -Team Member - £13.52per hour (with shift allowance £16.98 per hour)
• 1800-0600 -Skilled Team Member - £14.10 per hour (with shift allowance £17.68 per hour)
• 1800-0600 -Multi-Skilled Team Member - £14.63 per hour (with shift allowance £18.33 per hour)

What you will receive in return:

• Bonus structure (Bonus is paid quarterly with a minimum payment of £125, this can increase in £25 increments if quality standards etc are met up to a total of £200.00) -Bonus is paid at the end of the month following the Quarter
