Job summary

Univar Solutions in Middlesbrough is seeking a Production Operator to join our team. This role covers blending, filling and warehouse operations for hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, with a 37.5-hour week and shifts from 6am-2pm or 1pm-9pm, Monday to Friday.

You will report to the Production Team Leader and ensure safe, accurate production and documentation while following all health, safety and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of blending, filling and handling hazardous materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • FLT Counter Balance license is desirable.
  • Knowledge of valves, pumps and meters is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, blend, fill and warehouse chemicals.
  • Ensure correct goods are produced, stored and dispatched in good condition.
  • Complete documentation promptly and accurately for production admin.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Work with filling machines and meters to fill IBCs, drums and kegs.

Shifts - 6am - 2pm / 1pm - 9pm Mon-Fri

Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator to join our Middlesbrough team.

Reporting to the Production Team Leader for the area, the successful candidate will safely prepare, blend, fill and warehouse non-hazardous & hazardous chemicals at Middlesbrough.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • To ensure that the correct goods are produced, stored and dispatched in good condition
  • To ensure the prompt, correct completion and presentation of documentation to production admin
  • Be compliant to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Ensure safe working conditions at all times
  • To work with hazardous liquid chemicals including container & product hose cleaning and handling
  • To ensure material is produced accurately and in line with EHS&Q procedures
  • To ensure the correct and safe receipt of bulk liquid into bulk holding tanks including dilutions/decants and blending.
  • Cooperate on all matters concerned with health, safety, training, legislation and the environment
  • To work with filling machines & flow meters filling IBCs, kegs and drums
We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of blending, filling and handling of hazardous materials and excellent attention to detail.

It is desirable that the successful candidate also holds FLT Counter Balance license.

You will be required to complete product movements between tanks and containers, so knowledge of valves, pumps and meters is essential
