Univar Solutions in Cadishead is seeking a Chemical Operative to join our manufacturing team. You will safely prepare, fill and warehouse hazardous chemicals, load and offload vehicles and work with a team of operatives.

You will undertake FLT operations, perform routine checks, logging data, and ensure documentation accuracy while complying with COSHH and safety policies. This is a hands-on role in a large-volume production environment.

Qualificações

• Experience in large-scale manufacturing or production.
• COSHH knowledge and safe handling of chemicals (desirable).
• Forklift licence and safety certifications (desirable).
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial environment.

Responsabilidades

• Safely prepare, fill and warehouse hazardous chemicals.
• Operate MHE and perform order picking and loading/unloading of finished goods.
• Complete routine checks, data logging and QA activities.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust controls to maintain quality.
• Ensure correct goods production, storage and dispatch with proper documentation.

Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Operative to join our Cadishead team.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful candidate will safely prepare, fill and warehouse hazardous chemicals, load and offload vehicles and work within a team of other Chemical Operatives.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that MHE is properly presented and operated
• To ensure that the correct goods are produced, stored and dispatched in good condition
• To ensure the correct completion of documentation
• Be compliant to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements

Key Tasks

• Undertake FLT operations, including order picking and the loading/unloading of finished hazardous goods, while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring orders are completed accurately, on time, and to customer requirements.
• Undertake the safe loading of hazardous chemicals onto bulk road tankers.
• Complete routine checks, data logging, and quality assurance activities.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust controls to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

We Are Looking For

• The successful candidates have experience working within a large-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and the safe handling of chemicals and equipment (desirable but not essential).
• Forklift licence and relevant safety certifications (desirable).
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work to high quality standards.
