Job summary

Univar Solutions is hiring a Production Operative for the Veolia Repack Team in Middlesbrough. The role runs 6am–2pm, Mon-Fri, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and a 37.5 hour week, focusing on safe preparation, filling and warehousing of chemical products.

You will handle hazardous materials, perform movements between tanks and containers, and ensure documentation is completed in line with EHS&Q procedures. A FLT Counter Balance license is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, fill and warehouse non-hazardous and hazardous chemicals.
  • Ensure correct goods are produced, stored and dispatched in good condition.
  • Complete documentation accurately and promptly for production admin.
  • Maintain safe working conditions at all times and comply with health and safety policies.
  • Move products between tanks and containers and assist with PTO testing as trained.

Production Operative – Veolia Repack Team

Duties

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our Middlesbrough team. The successful candidate will safely prepare, fill and warehouse non-hazardous & hazardous chemicals at Middlesbrough.

  • To ensure that the correct goods are produced, stored and dispatched in good condition
  • To ensure the prompt, correct completion and presentation of documentation to production admin
  • Be compliant to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Ensure safe working conditions at all times
  • To work with hazardous liquid chemicals including container & product hose cleaning and handling
  • To ensure material is produced accurately and in line with EHS&Q procedures
  • To decant IBC’s of product into low pressurised containers (PTO’s) and road barrels – training will be provided on the testing of PTO’s
  • Cooperate on all matters concerned with health, safety, training, legislation and the environment
We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the filling and handling of hazardous materials and excellent attention to detail. It is desirable that the successful candidate also holds FLT Counter Balance license. You will be required to complete product movements between tanks and containers, so knowledge of valves, pumps and meters is essential.
