Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to operate machinery and undertake practical, hands-on work.

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties.

• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts (6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00) and hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture plastic products.
• Assist with moulding, prepare moulds, weigh materials and remove finished items.
• Monitor processes to ensure quality standards are met.
• Trim, finish and inspect products for the next production stage.
• Record production data and quality checks accurately.
• Identify and report machinery faults or quality issues.
• Contribute to team and personal production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
• Support the wider production team as required.

Our client, a successful and established manufacturing business based in Shefford, is looking for enthusiastic Production Operatives to join their growing team. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a rotating shift pattern of 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm, you'll be joining a busy production team where quality, teamwork and safety are essential.

Production Operative – Job Overview
