Marshalls plc in Sandy, Bedfordshire, is recruiting a Production Operative (Operations Team Member) on a full-time basis. Salary sits at £34,852 + benefits, with shifts Monday to Thursday from 6am to 6pm.

You will join a skilled team that produces high-quality concrete products, with safety at the heart of everyday practice. You will operate presses and mobile plant, move stock with forklifts, and follow a personal development plan to progress within the grading structure.

Formación

• Experience in a busy Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Forklift licence and experience is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with reliable team performance.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Flexible shift pattern including nights may be required.
• Basic computer literacy.
• IOSH qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Able to work a flexible shift pattern including nights if required.

Responsabilidades

• Operate press machinery and hand-powered tools to manufacture concrete products.
• Move stock around the site using forklift trucks and other mobile plant.
• Maintain health and safety at all times and follow site procedures.
• Collaborate within a shift-based team to meet production targets.
• Follow personal development plans to gain new skills and progress within grading structure.

We're growing our manufacturing team and are looking for an experienced Production Operative to join us at our Sandy manufacturing site.

So, what's the mission?

Working as part of a skilled team to manufacture high-quality concrete products using the best technology and techniques, you'll put health and safety at the heart of everything you do! You'll mainly work with concrete products, operating press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site. You will have your own personal development plan, to gain new skills and increase your salary through our grading structure.

What are the mission-critical skills?

• Experience working in a busy Production/Manufacturing environment
• Forklift truck license and experience is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of working reliably within a shift based team structure
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Flexibility on shift rotation or night shift experience will be required
• Computer user - basic knowledge required
• Safe to Supervise or IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Able to work a flexible shift pattern, including nights, should future business needs require it.
