Job summary

Marshalls plc in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Manufacturing Operative (Operations Team Member) to join a busy production team. Starting salary is £16.06 per hour with benefits, and a 12-hour days/nights shift rotation.

You will operate press machinery, hand tools, shot blast equipment, and forklifts to move stock while prioritising health and safety. You will engage in personal development under our grading structure and work within a supportive shift-based team environment,

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Forklift truck license and experience is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of working reliably within a shift based team structure.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Flexibility on shift rotation or night shift experience will be required.
• Computer user - basic knowledge required.
• Safe to Supervise or IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-quality concrete products in a dual-block plant using standard technology and processes.
• Operate press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site.
• Maintain a strong emphasis on health and safety in all tasks.
• Pursue personal development through the company grading structure.

You will work as part of a team to manufacture high-quality concrete products in our dual-block plant using the best technology and techniques whilst ensuring you put health and safety at the heart of everything you do! You'll mainly work with concrete products, operating press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site. You will have your own personal development plan, to gain new skills and increase your salary through our grading structure.
