Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting Production Operatives for a temporary ongoing role in Runcorn. The position involves various production duties including Batch‑Off and Manufacturing Operator tasks, with rotating shifts 06:00-14:00 and 13:00-21:00.

You will follow job orders, weigh and label materials, and help maintain quality and safety standards. The role offers hands-on production experience in a well‑established manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous production or manufacturing experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Understanding of, or willingness to work within, Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow shop order instructions to print and label drums accurately.
• Filter and weigh materials in line with production instructions.
• Report any quality issues or shortages of finished goods, consumables, or packaging to the Production Manager or Shift Manager as soon as possible.
• Clean production vessels in preparation for the next manufacturing process.
• Load pallets safely and store them in the correct locations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
• Carry out daily safety checks and maintain responsibility for FLT/Reach truck operation where applicable.
• Clean and maintain equipment in line with 5S standards.
• Assist with maintaining daily production audit records.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture within the team.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Production Manager or Shift Manager.

Production Operative - Temporary Ongoing — Location: Runcorn — Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour — Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Rotating Shifts: 06:00-14:00 & 13:00-21:00)
