Job summary

Kingspan Water & Energy, part of the Kingspan Group, is seeking a production operative in Portadown to operate machinery and fit Energy Storage products. This full-time, permanent role involves 12-hour shifts across days and nights, with strict adherence to HSE procedures.

You will work within a team to meet quality standards and production targets. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement, with training and development opportunities and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving Manufacturing environment operating heavy machinery.
• Experience using hand tools including drills.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving.
• Able to accurately measure and document production activities.
• Mature attitude with strong Health & Safety and quality focus.
• Must be thorough and detail-oriented.
• Effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and fit products to meet quality and demand.
• Work as part of a production team.
• Carry out quality checks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Complete production, quality and maintenance reports.
• Follow health and safety procedures and work instructions.
• Meet production targets and improve productivity.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and are well presented.

About the role

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the production operative will operate machinery to produce and fit Energy Storage products to satisfy customer quality and demand. Combination of 12 hour shifts across days and nights is applicable. All tasks are carried out in strict adherence to Kingspan's HSE procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and fit our products to satisfy Customer quality and demand.
• Work as part of the production team.
• Maintain required quality standards and carry out product quality checks as part of the production process.
• Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• Complete production, quality and maintenance reports
• Work safely and effectively in accordance with the Work Instructions for the tasks and comply with all Health and Safety Standards
• Meet machinery / fitting production targets and actively participate in activities designed to
• Continuously improve machine and fitting productivity
• Ensure all products meet with Customer specifications and is well presented.
• Carry out all safety, production, quality checks, and complete documentation as appropriate
• Work within a team or unsupervised, and to ensure “right first time”.
• Minimise downtimes in all areas
