Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Temporary Packer in Cornwall for an immediate start. The role involves packing crab meat into retail packaging in a busy food production environment, with a strong focus on hygiene and quality. On-site parking is available, and PPE is provided.

The candidate should have experience in food packing or production, be physically fit, and able to work the 4:00am–2:00pm shift. Start date is ASAP, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous food packing or production experience preferred.
• Good understanding of food hygiene standards.
• Physically fit and able to stand throughout the shift.
• Able to lift and carry crates up to 15 kg.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Good command of English and able to follow instructions.
• Available to start immediately.

Temporary Packer

Location: Cornwall

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Hours: 4:00am - 2:00pm

Duration: Temporary (Initial 2-week assignment)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Packer to join a busy food production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who is available for an immediate start.

The role involves packing and potting crab meat into containers while maintaining high food hygiene and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Potting and packing crab meat into retail packaging
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness within the production area
• Working efficiently to meet production targets
• Supporting the wider production team as required
• Ensuring products are packed accurately and to the required standard

Requirements

• Previous food packing, food preparation, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Good understanding of food hygiene standards
• Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout the shift
• Comfortable lifting and carrying crates weighing up to 15kg
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping
• Good command of English and able to follow instructions
• Available to start immediately
