Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc’s EMCO Wheaton division is hiring a Production Operative at site in Margate. You will perform manufacturing and assembly tasks safely, inspecting products and hitting production targets while following health and safety requirements.

You will operate machinery, work as part of a team, and contribute to quality standards, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives. Training and career progression opportunities are available.

Job Summary

A Production Operative is responsible for carrying out manufacturing and assembly activities safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The role involves operating production equipment, assembling products, inspecting finished goods, and ensuring that production targets are achieved while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Assemble, inspect, pack, and label products according to specifications.
• Meet production, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Report defects, equipment faults, and safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and support 5S activities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve departmental objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly environment.
• Knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes.
