Job summary

Wjf Technical Support Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an assembly operative to join the production team. You will work on a variety of metal materials using manual and automated equipment to meet hourly targets and quality standards.

You'll perform quality checks, follow internal processes, complete paperwork, and maintain a clean, safe workstation while adhering to H&S guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE, both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Experience on an assembly production line.
  • Regular quality checks and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Understanding of basic IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and packs metal materials using manual and automated equipment.
  • Maintains high quality standards for standard and bespoke products.
  • Communicates proactively with supervisors and QC regarding production, quality and H&S issues.
  • Keeps workspace clean and adheres to H&S and PPE requirements.

Working individually and on occasions as part of a team to assemble and pack a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
  • Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production, quality and H&S issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
  • Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE
General Requirements
  • Previous experience of working on an assembly production line
  • Regular quality checks
  • Following internal processes
  • Completing paperwork
  • Understanding of basic IT
Qualifications/Courses/Experience
  • Previous experience obtained in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to work under own initiative and on occasion under pressure whilst adhering to strict deadlines and demands
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Operational Fault Finding and problem solving
  • Work independently and part of a team.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness
  • Manage self, working/assisting colleagues obtaining their involvement and buy in
