Job summary

Connect Appointments seeks Production Operatives for its Livingston facility. You will support packing and distribution on a 6-week revolving rota that includes weekends, working 6am to 3pm for 40 hours a week.

This role requires previous production/warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, basic computer literacy, and a willingness to learn pallet truck operation and other equipment. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Setting up production lines and ensuring materials are positioned at the start of each shift.
• Packing and labelling fresh produce to customer specifications (count, weight, colour, origin).
• Operating scanners, pallet trucks, MHE and computer equipment safely per health and safety procedures.
• Completing quality checks, segregating rejected produce and managing label stock.
• Completing required paperwork and coordinating with supervisors and teams to minimise downtime.

Connect Appointments is recruiting Production Operatives to join an established fresh produce business based in Livingston.

Our client operates a busy food production facility, requiring reliable and detail-oriented operatives to support packing and distribution across a revolving rota that includes weekend working.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time temporary position – 40 hours per week
• Working 5 days out of 7, from 6am to 3pm – on a 6-week revolving rota
• Paid weekly at £12.71 per hour

As a Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Setting up production lines and ensuring materials are correctly positioned at the start of each shift
• Selecting, packing, labelling and sealing fresh produce to customer specifications including count, weight, colour and origin
• Operating scanners, pallet trucks, MHE and computer equipment safely in line with health and safety procedures
• Completing quality checks, segregating rejected produce and managing label stock accurately
• Completing all required paperwork and liaising with supervisors, QA and production teams to minimise downtime

To be considered as a Production Operative, you will need:

• Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• A basic level of computer literacy
• Knowledge of fresh produce and health and safety procedures is advantageous – pallet truck training will be provided
