Axon Moore is supporting a well-established business in Lancashire to appoint an Experienced Production Operative (Early Shift). The role involves supporting manufacturing and packing, operating machinery safely, recording production data, and ensuring quality and efficiency across the operation.

This hands-on position requires practical experience in production, valid FLT/Reach Truck licenses, strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of automated and manual machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow detailed production instructions and procedures.
• Prepare and handle materials in line with production requirements.
• Record production information, batch details and material usage using handheld technology.
• Carry out stock transfers and maintain accurate stock records.
• Ensure finished products are packed correctly with accurate labelling.
• Maintain production and packing records and perform routine quality checks.

Experienced Production Operative - Early Shift

Location: Lancashire

Hours: 2:00am - 9:00am, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Axon Moore is delighted to be supporting a well-established and successful business with the appointment of an experienced Production Operative.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a practical, hands-on individual to join a busy operation where quality, safety and teamwork are central to the way the business operates.

You’ll become an important part of the production team, supporting the day-to-day manufacturing process and helping ensure products are produced, prepared and dispatched to the required standards.

The Role

Working as part of an established production team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the manufacturing and packing process.

• Operating a range of automated and manual machinery safely and efficiently.
• Following detailed production instructions and procedures.
• Preparing and handling materials in line with production requirements.
• Accurately recording production information, batch details and material usage using handheld technology.
• Carrying out stock transfers and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Ensuring finished products are packed correctly, to the required levels and with accurate labelling.
• Maintaining accurate production and packing records.
• Carrying out routine quality checks and escalating any issues or deviations.
• Identifying and reporting issues with machinery, equipment or materials.
• Working closely with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
• Completing relevant production, packing and cleaning records.
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the working environment.
• Following all health & safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
• Supporting a positive culture of teamwork, quality and continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is practical, dependable and switched-on, with previous experience in a production, manufacturing or operational environment.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• A valid FLT and Reach Truck licence.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good numerical and IT skills, with confidence using handheld devices and PCs.
• A practical approach to problem solving.
• The ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.
• A proactive approach and willingness to use your initiative.
• A strong work ethic and dependable attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.

The successful candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of doing things correctly and enjoys being part of a busy team.
