Job summary

Quanex is looking for a Production Operative at our Henlow site to assist with manufacturing weather seals. The successful candidate will ensure quality control and manage raw material replacements while achieving essential KPI targets.

This role includes working on a 2-week rotational shift pattern from 6am to 6am. Emphasis on safety and effective communication is paramount in our manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Job description

The Production Operative based at our Henlow site, will be able to impart knowledge and aid development, customer orientated whilst understand the company needs.

Hours are 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am on a 2-week rotation.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• To manufacture weather seals in a safe manner.
• Replacement of raw materials to ensure continuous production
• Quality control checks on profiles
• Achieve the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF ,Quality Standards , Throughput and Productivity).
• Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book.

• Previous exposure to a manufacturing environment.
