Job summary

Quanex, based at our Henlow site, is seeking a Production Operative to manufacture weather seals on a demanding shift pattern. You will contribute to safe production, maintain quality checks, and support continuous improvement through lean methods.

Hours are 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am on a 2-week rotation. The role requires adaptability and commitment to high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean tools and techniques.
• SAP experience advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture weather seals in a safe manner.
• Replacement of raw materials to ensure continuous production.
• Quality control checks on profiles.
• Achieve KPI targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF, Quality Standards, Throughput and Productivity).
• Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book.
