Job summary

The Best Connection in New Mills is seeking a Production Operative for a temp-to-perm role. You will be hands-on in the manufacturing process, operating machinery, handling materials and ensuring products meet safety and quality standards.

Shifts rotate weekly (6am-2:30pm and 9:30am-5pm), with no weekend work. Prior production experience and physical stamina are preferred, and transport is essential unless you are local.

Qualifications

• Has previous manufacturing/production experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Is comfortable with a hands-on, physically demanding role
• Can work at a good pace and manage high volume of work
• Has basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Having your own transport is essential unless you live locally

• Operating a range of manufacturing machinery and processes
• Working with equipment including mixers, blenders and extruders
• Carrying out manual handling and lifting duties
• Cleaning and maintaining machinery and work areas
• Moving and storing finished products and raw materials
• Supporting general warehouse duties
• Working to strict health and safety procedures

We are currently recruiting for a production operative to join an established manufacturing business based in New Mills. This is a hand‑on role where you'll be involved in the manufacturing process, operating machinery, handling materials and ensuring products are produced safety and to the required quality standards

• £14.00 per hour which rises to £14.75 per hour following a successful probation period
• Weekly rotating shifts week 1: 6am-2.30pm week 2: 9.30am-5pm (Mon to Fri)
