Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd are seeking a Production Operative for a client based in Crewe. The role involves line operation, machine support, quality checks and end-of-line packing on high-speed production lines.

Expect a Monday-Thursday schedule with an optional Friday shift every two weeks, 06:00-16:00 on those days. Competitive hourly pay of £12.71. Candidates should be capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and complying with H&S rules.

Qualifications

• Previous production operative experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good time-keeping and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working around chemicals and high-speed lines.

Responsibilities

• Line operation: load cans, components and raw materials onto high-speed production lines.
• Machine operations: assist filling, crimping and capping machines under supervision.
• Quality assurance: monitor seals, verify product quality and report discrepancies.
• End-of-Line packing: pack finished aerosol canisters and complete paperwork.
• Housekeeping & waste: keep a clean, safe workspace and minimise waste.
• H&S compliance: follow chemical handling and high-pressure system standards.
• Teamwork: communicate with Quality, Maintenance and Production shifts.

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Production Operative for our client based in Crewe.

As a Production Operative your working hours and days are:

• Monday- Thursday
• Optional for Friday every 2 weeks
• Monday- Thursday 06:00- 16:00
• Friday 06:00- 16:00 (every other week and optional shift)

The rate of pay as a Production Operative is:

• £12.71 p/h

The duties and responsibilities as a Production Operative are:

• Line operation - perform continuous loading of empty cans, components, and raw materials onto high-speed automated production conveyor lines
• Machine Operations: Support the filling, crimping, and capping machines under the direction of line supervisors
• Quality Assurance: Monitor critical control points, verify product quality, check seals, and report batch or line discrepancies immediately
• End-of-Line Packing: Efficiently pack finished aerosol canisters into boxes, complete required paperwork, and manage line palletising
• Housekeeping & Waste: Maintain a clean, sterile workspace, minimize chemical product waste, and safely separate or clear processing refuse
• H&S Compliance: Follow strict manufacturing standards regarding chemical handling, gas protocols, and high-pressure system operations
• Experience: Proven history working in a fast-paced manufacturing, factory, warehouse, or high-volume production line setup
• Attributes: Reliable attendance record, strong hands-on work ethic, and ability to handle steady, physical production flows
• Teamwork: Strong communication capabilities to work productively with the broader Quality, Maintenance, and Production shifts
• Safety Awareness: Diligence surrounding occupational health guidelines, especially when working directly near chemical components
