Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking a Production Operative for a busy site in England. You will ensure products are packed, labelled, and prepared to the highest quality and safety standards, working from rotating shifts.

You will use measuring and weighing equipment, complete production and stock transactions, and support improvements within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Safely pack chemicals into containers and outer packaging per procedures.
  • Operate measuring and weighing equipment accurately.
  • Complete production and stock transactions using computer systems.
  • Assemble, seal and label products with UN compliance.
  • Verify batch numbers, codes and labels for accuracy.
  • Move chemical containers safely, including IBCs, drums and sacks.
  • Apply supply and UN labels where required.
  • Palletise finished products and prepare for warehouse transfer.
  • Support movement of raw materials and finished goods across site.
  • Process returned packaging for reuse per safety procedures.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections and checks.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards for a safe workplace.
  • Support stock control and disposal of redundant materials.

Production Operative

£15.05 per hour | Rotating Shifts | Monday to Friday

Shift Pattern:
  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 1:45pm – 9:45pm
About the Role

We are looking for reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious individuals to join a busy production team. As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed, labelled, and prepared accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely pack chemicals into a variety of containers and outer packaging in line with company procedures.
  • Operate measuring and weighing equipment accurately.
  • Complete production and stock transactions using computer-based systems.
  • Assemble, seal, and label products correctly, ensuring compliance with UN regulations.
  • Verify batch numbers, chemical codes, and product labels for accuracy.
  • Prioritise and safely move chemical containers, including IBCs, drums, and sacks.
  • Apply supply and UN labels where required.
  • Palletise finished products and prepare them for warehouse transfer.
  • Support the movement of raw materials and finished goods across site.
  • Process returned packaging for reuse in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections and checks.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and basic upkeep.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organised workplace.
  • Support stock control activities and the disposal of redundant materials.
