Job description

Absolute Recruitment is looking for a Production Warehouse Operative to join one of their well-known clients based in Crewe.

This is a permanent position suitable for someone seeking a long-term career within the company. The client specializes in preparing steel wire rope for the Crane & Elevator market.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Problem solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

• Use of disc grinders/cutters (not essential)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working within a small production team supported by the Production Manager, Supervisor, and colleagues, your duties include:

• Spooling, measuring, and cutting steel wire rope to length from the master reel as per customer requirements
• Fitting various end terminations to rope ends using different methods, including hydraulic presses and resin-based materials
• Supplying all relevant accessories, labelling, and packaging goods for safe dispatch
• Carrying out other duties as reasonably required

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm; Friday 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
