Job description

Manpower is recruiting Production Operatives to work for our client, based in Butlerfield Industrial Estate, Bonnyrigg. You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products and completing general production and warehousing duties.

£12.21 per hour - Overtime after 8 hours paid at 1.5X base rate.

Due to the nature of this temporary work, shifts are planned weekly, and full-time hours cannot always be guaranteed.

We have positions on dayshift - Monday to Friday - 06:30 - 14:30.

Main responsibilities of a Production Operative:

1. Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items.
2. Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels.
3. Loading products onto pallets, which may involve some heavy lifting.

Ideal candidate qualities:

1. Good observational skills to spot defective products.
2. Patience to carry out repetitive tasks.
3. The ability to work quickly to meet production targets.
4. Good team working skills and the ability to work independently.
5. The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures.

All candidates must complete an online health and safety induction before starting work. Successful completion of the induction includes a 2-hour paid session after completing one full shift.
