Job Title: Production Operative at Recoturbo

Base Pay Range

Negotiable based upon experience and satisfactory completion of any probationary period. 12-month contract including a 3-month probationary period, with a possible move to a permanent contract after 12 months.

Job Description

As a Production Operative, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Measuring, grading, and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery;
  • Operating production line equipment;
  • Assembling goods on a production line;
  • Reporting equipment faults to maintenance teams;
  • Finishing products, such as applying protective coatings;
  • Monitoring the production process and conducting basic testing and quality checks;
  • Storing goods and raw materials in the factory or warehouse;
  • Using lifting equipment to store goods safely;
  • Packing goods for shipment in crates or containers;
  • Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery;
  • Degreasing and cleaning components.

You will typically work as part of a team under a shift leader, performing various tasks within your shift. The role requires good teamwork and concentration over extended periods. Most work occurs in a factory setting on a production line, often standing or sitting at workbenches, and wearing protective clothing such as overalls, safety shoes, ear defenders, gloves, and goggles.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30. Part-time and flexible hours are available.

Location

Derby, England, United Kingdom, with opportunities in other locations such as Coventry, Watford, Leicester, Crick, Sandiacre, Swadlincote, and Nottingham.
