Job summary

DarcyBrook Procurement & Supply is seeking a Production Manager for a FMCG manufacturing site in Dorset. You will lead production teams, safeguard quality, manage peak-season staffing, and drive lean improvements to meet targets.

You will collaborate with QA, Technical, Warehouse and Supply Chain to secure material availability, control costs, and maintain safe operations, reporting KPIs to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in production management within FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Workforce planning and seasonal staffing experience.
• Coordination with Quality Assurance and Technical teams to uphold standards.
• Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production staff, provide training and daily supervision.
• Plan and manage peak season and temporary workforce requirements.
• Coordinate quality assurance with QA and Technical teams to uphold standards.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Supply Chain to ensure material availability and inventory control.
• Drive process improvements using Lean or similar methodologies.
• Work with senior leadership to implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Address production challenges with contingency plans and crisis management.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Track KPIs and prepare daily and monthly production reports for senior management.
