Job summary

PPG is seeking an enthusiastic admin specialist to support production operations at the Birstall Plant. You will manage day‑to‑day administration, coordinate materials with planning and suppliers, and keep accurate records for quality auditing in the SAP environment.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy essential for admin tasks.
• Proficiency with SAP and Datastor systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Administrate all day‑to‑day production activities through the SAP system resulting in the correct ordering patterns for materials to ensure smooth flow of work, escalating any issues to the shift leader.
• Liaise with planning, internal customers and external suppliers to ensure the correct materials are available to meet customer demand.
• Ensure all administration is carried out efficiently, confirming sheets OTIF to ensure department stocks are accurate and all records/files are kept up to date for quality auditing purposes and SAP system alignment.
• Monitor kanban systems/reorder points and ensure adequate levels of all consumables are maintained through placing orders onto Epro.
• Create purchase orders on the SAP system to enable orders to be placed for required items within the production departments.
• Carry out perpetual inventory counts and stock take including week‑end stock balancing to minimise stock write‑offs.
• Administer the check‑weighing system to ensure the weighing of filled products complies with the Weights and Measures legislation.
