Job summary

PPG Industries in Stowmarket, England, seeks a Production Manager to lead the pigmented operations team to deliver budget volumes while meeting EHS, customer service, quality and cost targets. You will report to the Operations Manager and base the role onsite in Stowmarket.

You will drive year-on-year improvements, develop and motivate the team, and partner with Engineering, Technical and Milan colleagues to implement new products and process improvements, ensuring seamless operations and safe

Qualifications

• Over 5 years relevant management experience.
• Experience in Production/Operations Management, from a manufacturing background.
• Understanding of Lock out Tag Out and Permit to Work procedures.
• Excellent people leadership skills including communication, delegation, coaching, engagement and team building.
• Ability to convert business goals and priorities into practical production plans and strategies.
• Understanding of continuous improvement tools, principles and methodologies including 5S.

• Partner with the Stowmarket and Milan organisation for best practice sharing, product sourcing and industrialization processes.

We will base this role onsite in Stowmarket.
