Meta in London is seeking a Network Production Engineer Intern to join our fast‑paced team. You will work with Backbone, Data Center, and Production Engineers on a large‑scale global network, contributing to reliability, scalability, and automation that supports billions of users.

The role emphasizes learning and applying new concepts in network design, monitoring, and automation, with hands‑on production involvement and collaboration with world‑class engineers across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with computer networks
• Experience in UNIX, TCP/IP, network fundamentals, or similar
• Experience coding in at least one language (Python and C++ are all in heavy use)
• Ability to learn new concepts around network design and management
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol datacenter and backbone networks
• Define, and develop optimized network monitoring and automation systems
• Partner alongside the best engineers in the industry on the coolest stuff around, the code and systems you work on will be in production and used to support billions of users all around the world
