Job summary

Princes Group in Erith is seeking a Multi Skilled Operator to support daily production tasks on the Edible Oils line, including running labelling, case packing and repalletising processes. You will help the team achieve KPIs, follow 5S and safety practices, and assist engineers during changeovers.

You should be mechanically minded with a strong on-line fault-finding ability, capable of working across different positions, and committed to continuous improvement and timely material supply.

Qualifications

• Literate and numerate to the company’s skills level as a minimum.
• Versatile and able to adapt to different production lines.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Awareness of food hygiene requirements.
• Co-operation within teams and across internal/external customers.
• Understanding of production procedures and continuous improvement.
• Plan daily activities to meet production targets with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production results meet quality and quantity standards.
• Carry out hourly checks and maintain accurate production records.
• Lead a culture of continuous improvement on the line and 5s.
• Assist with capping, labelling, packing and palletisation as needed.
• Fix minor issues and adjust machine settings to keep lines running.
• Wear PPE, report accidents or hazards, and ensure good housekeeping.
