Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd in Gloucester is seeking a Production Manager to lead the day-to-day production operation and a team of around 20 operatives. You’ll manage 2 Team Leaders and develop people while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

You’ll plan priorities, maintain equipment and resources, and identify improvements across production. This is a role for someone who can drive change and coordinate with other departments to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Production Manager or similar in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong people management skills with a track record of developing a team.
• A proactive approach to health and safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing the production team and Team Leaders.
• Planning and managing day-to-day production priorities.
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
• Ensuring the team has the equipment, resources and support they need.
• Identifying and implementing improvements across production.
• Supporting changes to equipment, processes and the production environment.
• Collaborating with other departments to keep production running smoothly.
