Job summary

DwyerOmega in Ely, Cambridgeshire is seeking a Production Manager to lead our on-site Production and Stores teams. You will report to the Plant Manager, drive Lean improvements, develop people, and embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across manufacturing.

This hands-on role requires leading through change, working with Planning, Quality, and Engineering to maximize safety, productivity, and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing tools and driving improvements.
• Strong data-driven problem-solving and performance management skills.
• Excellent ERP system experience and familiarity with reporting tools.
• Experience leading large operations teams and achieving safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approx. 50 employees including Cell Managers and Team Leaders.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Quality and Engineering to improve flow.
• Drive performance using KPIs, daily performance reviews and reporting.
• Enhance labor utilization, productivity and cost performance within budgets.
• Ensure production plans are delivered accurately and reliably.
• Promote Lean methodologies and continuous improvement on site.
