Job summary

Serck Heat Exchange, Newcastle, is recruiting a Production Manager to direct and supervise production teams, ensuring output meets targets and quality standards. You will apply Unipart Way tools to drive continuous improvement and coordinate with quality, sales and projects to deliver KPIs.

We are looking for someone who can lead health and safety initiatives, manage costs, and develop colleagues while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety - Maintain high health and safety standards in line with legislation and requirements.
• Incident Management and Risk - Oversee incident reporting and investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Quality - Ensure production area meets quality policies and investigate issues.
• Customer Response - Investigate and report on customer issues.
• Cost Control - Manage production costs, overtime, attendance, and utilisation of labour hours and materials.
• Performance Reporting - Monitor KPIs and communicate results to teams.
• Delivery - Lead the production team to meet or exceed targets.
• Production Planning - Plan proactively with cross-functional teams to meet KPIs.
• People Development - Develop and coach team members and communicate performance expectations.
• People Management - Conduct appraisals, training, and disciplinary processes with HR support.
