Job summary

Mole Valley Farmers Limited is seeking a Production Manager at Lifton Mill. You will oversee day-to-day feed mill operations, ensure safety, quality, and compliance, and lead a team across production, maintenance, and support functions.

In this permanent, full-time role, you will drive production planning, staff development, and continuous improvement while building cross-department relationships and delivering results in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment (agriculture or feed milling desirable).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality compliance.
• Experience supporting or leading operational teams.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments.
• Proactive, organized, and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, compliant, and welcoming working environment for all site colleagues and visitors.
• Assist with production planning and ensuring high-quality products meet customer expectations.
• Take part in daily operations and maintain a visible presence on site.
• Build strong working relationships across production, maintenance, transport, and office teams.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of site colleagues.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure efficient and compliant plant operations; monitor stock control and assist with stock takes.
