Qualifications

• Proven experience as Production Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Lean manufacturing principles implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lean Implementation: Apply simple Lean principles to streamline production processes, reduce inventory costs, and eliminate waste.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify operational areas for improvement, develop practical solutions, and closely monitor the effectiveness of changes.
• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and coach Production Cell Leads and their teams, fostering a positive, multi-skilled, and efficient workforce.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key production metrics to ensure outputs, quality, and dispatch targets are met.
• Health & Safety: Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and PPE usage.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build relationships with other departments to optimize production schedules, logistics, and resource allocation.

Production Manager

Our manufacturing client based in Rochester, Kent is seeking an experienced Production Manager with a passion for Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Salary: Disclosed on initial conversation

Location: Rochester, Kent

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reporting to: Managing Director

Hours: Core factory hours, 35 hours pw
