React Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Production Manager in Rochester, Kent to own the production process, drive efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. You will lead multi-skilled teams and implement streamlined systems to support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a manufacturing/engineering environment with a focus on achieving output, quality and on-time dispatch targets, while maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lean Implementation: Apply simple Lean principles to streamline production processes, reduce inventory costs, and eliminate waste.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify operational areas for improvement, develop practical solutions, and closely monitor the effectiveness of changes.
• Team Leadership: Manage, train, and coach Production Cell Leads and their teams, fostering a positive, multi-skilled, and efficient workforce.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on key production metrics to ensure all output, quality, and dispatch targets are consistently met.
• Health & Safety: Maintain exceptionally high safety standards, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and correct PPE usage.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Build strong relationships with other departments to optimize production schedules, logistics, and resource allocation.
