Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment in Mansfield is seeking a Production Manager to lead our wash facilities and pre-pack operations, ensuring targets are hit safely and efficiently. This is a full-time role within a family-run business that values trust, teamwork and care for its people.

You will coordinate with Team Leaders, monitor line performance, enforce BRC standards, drive continuous improvement, and report KPI results to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Production management experience in a similar industry.
• Knowledge of BRC Global Standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership and the ability to coach and develop team leaders.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and lead investigations.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the wash facilities and pre-pack area to meet targets safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with Team Leaders to manage workflow, shift planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor line performance: packs per minute, packaging usage, checkweigher outputs, and camera grading systems.
• Ensure production activities comply with BRC Global Standards and internal quality protocols.
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide daily and weekly KPI updates to the Operations Manager.
