Job description

A global automotive component manufacturer with sites across the world requires a Production Manager to coordinate the operational team and maintain primary responsibility for the health & safety of the team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes with an understanding of IATF 16949.

Commutable from: Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, Shirley, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Evesham

Salary: £49,000 - £51,000 p.a. inclusive of shift allowance

Working hours: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, and 10pm - 6am (Sun night to Fri morning)

Suitable for: Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager

The Role

Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager, you will have the following duties:

1. Responsibility for the health and safety of all employees.
2. Lead and develop a group of Team Leaders in your area including performance management, absence, disciplinary, and grievance issues.
3. Full headcount ownership for directs and indirects within your reporting line, ensuring skilled staffing levels are maintained.

The Person

Certified to a minimum of green belt level, you will have the following experience:

1. Previous experience in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
2. Fully LOTO trained and auditing capability.
3. Fully conversant with continuous improvement activities.
4. Flexibility to work across a three-shift pattern.
