Job summary

MCS Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a large manufacturing operation at their Limavady facility. You will oversee a production team of around 120 people through Team Leaders, driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will demonstrate strong people management, communications, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment while upholding regulatory standards and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior production leadership roles managing large teams.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and shopfloor performance.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of health & safety and quality standards.
• Experience using production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team of approximately 120 people via Team Leaders to drive a high-performing operation.
• Deliver against safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets.
• Report to the Operations Director and provide leadership on the shop floor.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide leadership across a production team of approximately 120 people, working through a team of Team Leaders to drive a high-performing manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong shopfloor presence, excellent people management skills and experience in delivering against safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets.

The successful candidate:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior production leadership role managing large production teams.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity management, labour allocation and shopfloor performance.
• Experience within an engineering, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, assembly or similar manufacturing environment.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing health & safety and quality standards.
• Experience using production KPIs, ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office to drive performance.
• Excellent communication, organisation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
