Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.
Key Duties of a Production Manager:
- Primary point of contact with the Customer.
- Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
- Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
- Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
- Utilise the onsite Warehouse Management systems.
- Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
- Ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
- Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
- Attend Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses as required.
- Identify and develop Line Leaders to promote success planning.
- Train and develop new starters.
- Be a role model for best practice.
- Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
- Play an active part in continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience within a production/co-pack environment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
- Ability to communicate positively and clearly.
- Knowledge of procedures and compliance demonstration.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
- A commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
- Able to work towards targets/KPIs.
- Recognise and promote the importance of continuous improvement.
- Develop best practices and drive continuous improvement to achieve service objectives.
