Job description

Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.

Key Duties of a Production Manager:

1. Primary point of contact with the Customer.
2. Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
3. Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
4. Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
5. Utilise the onsite Warehouse Management systems.
6. Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations.
7. Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
8. Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
9. Ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
10. Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
11. Attend Line Leader meetings and relevant training courses as required.
12. Identify and develop Line Leaders to promote success planning.
13. Train and develop new starters.
14. Be a role model for best practice.
15. Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
16. Play an active part in continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience within a production/co-pack environment.
2. Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
3. Ability to communicate positively and clearly.
4. Knowledge of procedures and compliance demonstration.
5. Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
6. A commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
7. Able to work towards targets/KPIs.
8. Recognise and promote the importance of continuous improvement.
9. Develop best practices and drive continuous improvement to achieve service objectives.
