Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is recruiting a Production Manager for a busy Christchurch site. You will own the production operation, directing shop floor activities to deliver safe, high-quality products on schedule while meeting budget targets.

You will drive planning, optimize resources, mentor the workforce and uphold HSE standards, with a performance bonus and support from an international group.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in a production management role with a manufacturing background.
• Strong leadership, management and communication abilities.
• Good Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP and production planning software.

Responsibilities

• Direct all shop floor operations, leading production and personnel to deliver safe, high-quality products to schedule.
• Plan and schedule production to hit targets and meet customer expectations.
• Optimise people, equipment and materials to keep the operation running efficiently.
• Lead, supervise and develop the production workforce, strengthening a positive site culture.
• Uphold quality and health and safety standards, driving continuous improvement across the floor.
• Control costs against budget and work with stakeholders at all levels to resolve issues.
