Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is helping a Christchurch-based site recruit a Production Manager to lead busy shop floor operations, drive output and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget production. The role offers a performance-related bonus and the backing of a large international group.

You will direct all production activities, plan to targets, optimise resources, and develop the workforce while maintaining quality and health & safety standards. Strong leadership and ERP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Manufacturing/Operations degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years in a production management role.
• Background in manufacturing or production.
• Strong leadership, management and communication skills.
• Good Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP and production planning software.

Responsibilities

• Direct all shop floor operations, leading production and personnel to deliver safe, high-quality products to schedule
• Plan and schedule production to hit targets and meet customer expectations
• Optimise people, equipment and materials to keep the operation running efficiently
• Lead, supervise and develop the production workforce, strengthening a positive site culture

• Control costs against budget and work with stakeholders at all levels to resolve issues and streamline workflows
