Our client is a large-scale, market-leading manufacturing business with a history spanning over 50 years, producing 10,000 products daily. They are seeking a Production Manager to be based at their manufacturing plant in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire, working days from Monday to Friday.

Applicants should come from a textiles, packaging, or printing industry background and have experience managing production in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where continuous improvement and lean manufacturing are central to operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager

• Promoting lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, VSM, and OEE across operations.
• People management, including motivating and mentoring team leaders and supervisors.
• Ensuring health and safety standards and ISO quality systems are followed.
• Interdepartmental liaison to achieve objectives, potentially taking on responsibilities of the Operations Manager.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a mid to senior management role such as Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Factory Manager.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Significant experience managing in a large manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement tools in a fast-paced setting.
