Job Description:

Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and the manufacturing team in a high-volume, low-value bespoke printed product environment. Ensure effective training, management, development, and deployment of departmental teams to meet customer and company objectives. Review performance metrics, support continuous improvement programs, optimize throughput, and align operations with skills and processes to meet service delivery lead times. Apply lean principles and the theory of constraints with a collaborative, coaching-based management approach.

Collaborate with the Managing Director and management team to develop and implement strategies that achieve operational results aligned with business strategy and legislation.

Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures

• Manage production in line with KPIs and sales targets.
• Report manufacturing progress, risks, and mitigations.
• Provide coaching and development for manufacturing employees.
• Develop a flexible, skilled team with succession planning.
• Create production metrics supporting KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001, health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Prioritize digitization of customer variable data.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and e-commerce to support sales opportunities.
• Work with finance on budgets and KPIs.
• Contribute to senior management and support profitability goals.
• Implement Lean, Theory of Constraints, and 5S principles.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain employee training, development, and performance management programs.
• Support customer visits and promote the business externally.
• Drive change within the organization.
• Support inclusive recruitment practices.
• Create operational solutions for volume growth and asset utilization.
• Assist in developing and delivering the annual operating budget.
