Job summary

Futures is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a well‑established manufacturing business in a highly regulated environment. You will lead and develop production teams, drive performance and embed a culture of Continuous Improvement.

You will champion Lean principles, coach supervisors, collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, and ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are consistently met across operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production/Manufacturing management.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen experience.
• Ability to deliver CI initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop production teams, creating a positive, high‑performing culture.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across productivity, efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Take ownership of day‑to‑day production performance, ensuring targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Coach and develop team leaders and supervisors, encouraging accountability and development.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to improve manufacturing performance.
• Champion Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and develop production teams, creating a positive, high-performing culture.
• Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives across productivity, efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Take ownership of day-to-day production performance, ensuring operational targets and KPIs are achieved.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager or similar leadership position.
• Ideally, experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong people management skills with a genuine passion for coaching, mentoring and developing teams.
• Demonstrable experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies.
• A track record of improving manufacturing performance, productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A hands-on, approachable leadership style with the ability to engage people at all levels.
