Job description

Job Opening: Production Manager

BnM currently has an opening for a Production Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Edenderry and will report to the Thermal Plant Manager. The role is responsible for managing the Operations function of Edenderry/Cushaling generation assets, ensuring environmental and health and safety compliance while maximizing plant performance.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

1. Managing the Renewable Energy portfolio of generating assets to maximize plant availability and efficiency, achieving BnM’s and government renewable targets;
2. Leading the operations of the power plant, coordinating with Maintenance teams to meet targets safely, economically, and within environmental and design limits; including operations planning, reporting, and logistics;
3. Ensuring material management, purchasing, and contract management meet company standards and support operations within budget; liaising with compliance and trading functions for optimal financial and regulatory compliance;
4. Implementing the Renewable Energy Business Management System, coordinating with stakeholders, and meeting safety, environmental, and quality targets;
5. Participating in the operations management team, developing resource and succession plans, and leading engagement initiatives;
6. Ensuring full cooperation with health and safety provisions for all employees and public safety;
7. Leading and managing the performance of direct reports, participating in performance management processes.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A BSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline;
• Over 10 years of experience in a similar role;
• Experience with Steam Boilers and Steam Turbine plants.
