Job summary

BBC Audio in London is offering a Junior Production Coordinator Apprenticeship (Level 4) that combines on‑the‑job learning with an industry‑recognised qualification. You’ll work with Production Managers on setups, filming, and staffing while learning BBC systems and health & safety procedures.

This non‑graduate scheme is designed to build production management skills, with progression to roles such as Production Coordinator or Production Management Assistant upon completion.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older by September 2027.
• Have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years prior to the start.
• Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the duration.
• Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship.
• Not already hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same or higher level.
• If under 19, complete Maths and English GCSE at grade 4/C or higher or equivalent before end-point assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Management/Business Teams in planning and coordination of productions and shows.
• Work on location supporting Outside Broadcasts.
• Help ensure Production Paperwork is completed and Rights cleared/reported.
• Manage staffing rotas and staff leave.
• Book transport and accommodation.
• Support budget management and process payments using BBC systems.
• Assist setup and coordination of BBC equipment and access to BBC systems.
• Learn health & safety and compliance best practices.
