Job summary

Omega Plc in Nottingham is seeking a Production Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer. Working on high-speed automated packing and production lines, you will maximize equipment performance through fault finding, preventative maintenance and supporting operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role combines hands-on maintenance with machine optimization, with rotating shifts (3 on 4 off). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, a strong mechanical background and experience with conveyors,

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
Strong mechanical maintenance background in manufacturing.
Experience fault finding on automated production, packaging or process equipment.

Responsibilities

Production maintenance on high-speed automated lines.
Carry out first-line mechanical fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
Maintain bearings, motors, belts, chains and gearboxes.
Support conveyors, pumps and pneumatic systems; assist with breakdowns and root-cause investigations.
Drive reliability and OEE improvements on production lines.
